    RESTORATION”

    Brittena, a Colorado native, began dancing at the age of three and has cultivated a lifelong passion for the art form. With over 20 years of experience, she has developed a well-rounded foundation in ballet, tap, contemporary, pointe, and jazz. She brings her deep love for worshipping the Lord into the studio, thoughtfully blending faith and artistry in her work. Brittena is dedicated to guiding students to experience the joy and freedom of worship through dance-pursuing excellence not for perfection’s sake, but as an expression of wholehearted devotion and worship to Jesus. Her work is a heartfelt offering-an invitation to glorify God through the art of dance.

    “DESPAIR”

    Isaac's love for dance started at the age of 6 with a vivid memory of leading his kindergarten classmates in a dance circle. Dancing was something he did on his own here and there until his real introduction to hip hop dance sophomore year of highschool learning how to dance in his highschool company who performed in many different places and settings in Central Coast, California where he was born and raised. Not knowing later down the road, with his amazing wife and precious daughter, that he would be teaching Hip Hop to various levels and two companies in Loveland, Colorado at Lighthouse Dance going on 4 years now.

    “FLOURISH”

    Molly fell in love with dance at 4 years old and continues to discover new reasons to love it every day. She began teaching at Lighthouse in the fall of 2021 and has the joy of working across multiple styles, including Contemporary/Lyrical, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. Watching her students grow week by week, both technically and personally, is one of the greatest privileges of her work. Sharing something she loves so deeply with others is a true blessing. For Molly dance has always been a space where expression goes beyond words, where telling a story and worshiping our Creator connects the audience and those performing in a beautiful and meaningful way.

  • EMILY GRIFFITH

    “PURIFICATION”

    Emily Griffith began love of dance at the age of 2 years old. Since then she has studied at a variety of studios such as The Conservatory Dance Studio, Northern Colorado Academy of Dance Arts, Colorado Dance Collective, Colorado Dance Theatre and Movin' for the Lord Dance Company, as well as attending summer intensive programs such as Ballet Magnificat in Mississippi and at the University of Wyoming.  She earned a degree in Dance from The University of Northern Colorado while professionally performing with 8th Street Contemporary Dance Company. She reignited the Movin' for the Lord Dance Company for a few years by directing, teaching, and managing all classes offered. She has experience with the ABT, Balencine, and Cicchetti curriculum, but instructs within the Russian (Vaganova) curriculum. She is currently an instructor at Lighthouse Dance. She adores the opportunity to give back to her community that helped raise her into the person she is today by instructing the next great generation of dancers passing through its doors.

    “TENSIONS” PT 2

    Melissa Holmlund has been teaching and choreographing dance for nearly 30 years, viewing movement as a powerful expression of worship, healing, and storytelling. As the creator of Heartbeat, she dreamed and developed this production from the ground up, using dance to explore the depth of the human experience and the transformative power of faith and connection. Her choreography invites dancers into authentic, heartfelt expression that reaches beyond words.

    Melissa has led “Healing Through Movement” workshops internationally and believes dance has the ability to cross barriers and touch hearts. She is also a devoted wife and mother who finds joy and renewal in the outdoors, especially near water, drawing inspiration from both her family and nature into the work she creates.

    “MONSTERS” & “LOST”

    Natalie is a seasoned dancer with over 20 years of experience in classical ballet, pointe, jazz, and contemporary styles. She finds deep joy in storytelling through movement and cherishes the grace, discipline, and artistry inherent in dance. Passionate about Jesus and rooted in the Word, she views dance as an expression of worship and connection with God, encouraging her students to let His beauty shine through both their artistry and their lives. Natalie currently serves as the Creative Director for Lighthouse Dance, where she leads artistic vision, production development, and dancer development. Alongside her work in dance, she is a dedicated wife and mother of three, thriving in Northern Colorado.

  • ADZELLE KITISSOU-JONES

    “BREAKTHROUGH”

    Adzélè Kitissou-Jones has been dancing since childhood and teaching in Northern Colorado for eight years. She works in African, contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop styles, using movement as a joyful expression of creativity and storytelling.

    For Adzélè, the best part of dancing is bringing glory and honor to God and telling His story through movement. This piece is a special collaboration with her children; Manu, Mimi, and Mathis Kitissou-Jones.

    TENSIONS” PT 1 & 2

    Cindy Lundy Cindy has been a part of the dance world since the age of 5. She made a commitment to become a dancer at age 10. It is wound into her DNA! She studied at the University of Utah under many fabulous instructors- including Bene Arnold-the first Mistress of Ballet West. Cindycompleted her degree in Dance Choreography and Performance at the University of Northern Colorado. Cindy had been a dance instructor for most of her adult life and was the founder and director of Movin’ for the Lord Dance Company in Greeley for several years. She has taught at Lighthouse for the last 9 years. The top three loves of her life- Jesus, family and dancing!!

  • MATTHEW NEWELL

    “SUFFOCATION”

    Matthew is grateful to be part of Messengerz and enjoys dancing alongside such a talented and passionate community. He received his dance training at Colorado Christian University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Dance. Originally from Chicago, Matthew relocated to Denver in 2020 and has continued to invest deeply in the local arts community.

    He currently teaches at Castle Rock Dance Academy and Starstruck Academy of Dance, and is actively involved in musical theatre, choreographing for CYT, Rise, and CCU productions. Matthew values using dance as an expression of worship and is thankful for the opportunity to share his faith and artistry through movement.

  • ERICA POWEL

    SUFFOCATION”

    Erica Powell is a Colorado native and started dance at the young age of two. With excellent background training in all styles including, ballet, jazz, technique, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, tap, and musical theater. Erica also specializes in both American and International styles of ballroom dance with titles in Colorado, Vegas, and Kansas. As well, she is a National Finalist in American 9-Dance at the USDC and the Ohio Starball. Erica is currently studying Pre-Physical Therapy and Dance at Colorado Christian University in pursuit of achieving a doctorate in Physical Therapy. Erica’s faith has been the driving force of her dancing and passion to perform since a very young age. She is eager to perform and share the good news of Jesus through the bodily expression of movement. 

  • KACI SHIPLEY

    FLOURISH”

    Kaci started dancing in 2003 in North Carolina, primarily in ballet, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. Throughout college, she continued taking classes while also being a member of the university's dance team. She moved to Colorado in 2011 and has continued to be involved in dance ministry over the years. Since joining Lighthouse Dance in 2022, she has taught a variety of classes, dances in Tides Dance Company, co-coaches Beacon Dance Company, and acts as Performing Companies Manager. She currently lives in Loveland, CO with her husband and their three children.

    “PROCESSING”, “BONDAGE”, & “SHALOM”

    Messengerz Founder

    Greta was born and raised in Colorado, USA and she specializes in guest teaching, choreographing and creating workshops. She has taught across Colorado, as well as out of state including Hawaii, Los Angeles, Arizona, Virginia and more! In 2015, Greta created Messengerz Dance Co. in which she led her company to New Zealand for a month to teach and perform, and has since built partnerships there to return back to. She also led Messengerz to Europe this past summer for 5 weeks on an international dance ministry trip! Greta is also a competition judge and convention teacher with Sheer Elite and travels across the country. Finally, she is loving working as an adjunct dance professor at Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO for their developing dance program and is on her 6th year being a professor. Greta loves pouring into all her teaching endeavors, but mostly she loves Messengerz and she praises God for everything that lies ahead with this company! 

  • LYNNCHERI VORHEES

    “SHATTERED” & “WASHING”

    LynnCheri Voorhees was born and raised in Northern Colorado and began dancing at the age of nine, joining her first traveling dance team and touring the U.S. and Israel with the Israeli Celebration Dancers through her early twenties. She began classical ballet training at thirteen and has been a part of Celebration Ministry of Arts, Mary-Constantine Nelson, The Studio, Rez Dance, and Lighthouse Dance. She became a company member with Messengerz Dance at its founding in 2016, performing locally and traveling to New Zealand for a month-long dance ministry trip. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, LynnCheri has developed a strong passion for excellence in dance and continued education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Youth Ministry and is certified in Barre Fitness, Progressing Ballet Technique, and as a pointe shoe fitter, using dance as a way to glorify the Lord and minister to others through the arts.
