MELISSA HOLMLUND

HEARTBEAT DIRECTOR

Melissa Holmlund is the Director of Lighthouse Dance and has been teaching and discipling dancers for 30 years. She is passionate about dance as a form of worship, discipleship, and evangelism, and believes that dance is the language of the soul. She has witnessed how movement communicates what words often cannot, crossing cultural, generational, and personal barriers to reach hearts in profound and lasting ways.

Throughout her career, Melissa has led “Healing Through Movement” workshops both locally and internationally, working with dancers of all ages and levels.  Whether in Northern Colorado or abroad, her focus remains the same: cultivating excellence in technique and depth of character.

Heartbeat began as a vision shaped through prayer and reflection. In collaboration with Meagan, Melissa, helped bring that vision to life.  For her, directing is not simply about producing a performance, but about stewarding a message and guiding dancers to embody it with integrity.

Melissa is deeply grateful to build a flourishing, faith-rooted artistic community in Northern Colorado through Lighthouse Dance. Outside the studio, she is a wife and mother who finds renewal in meaningful community, time in nature, and good books.
